I found that service depended on how busy it was and what time of day it was. Price inexpensive. Food much fresher than CW.

Almost offers the same choices as Congee Wong, except CW is definitely better.

1. Arrived at the restaurant at around 8pm, the restaurant was not that busy. Strangely enough, no one was at the door to greet the customers. We waited for over 5 minutes before we could get any employee's attention. So I had to
walk into the restaurant and get somebody to show us the table.
2. After we finished the first dish (a bowl of congee), the second dish (rice noodle) was no where to be seen. So, we asked one of the waitresses who had no idea. Then the waiter who took our order came and said he never took our order of noodle. We asked him to go back and check on our order, he then came back and said he did have the order, but they sold out the noodle. No apology from him at all for letting us wait all those time, while he knew there was no more noodle.We paid for the congee and left upset. The service in Congeetime is far from CongeeWong.I would rather wait in CongeeWong and get the food I ordered.

people post CW is better. both are bad. both have bad service. both have aweful food. Canton Cusine is very good, but not at Congee Time or Wong.
if people ask i tell them to stay away from those places.

I live in the condo right beside the place lol. The food isn't as good as Congee Wong, but it's still a more than satisfying meal at the cheap price. Service can be a bit better though...

I liked it. . . it's convienent to get to by subway, the food was decent, and there's a bowling alley in the plaza. what could be better!
Plus, no lineups. people, take advantage while you can.

-placed order for pickup
-arrived 20 minutes later, paid lady at the counter
-she hands me 1/2 of the order
-i informed her 1/2 of the order was missing
-she said it will take another 15 minutes as she will let the chef know
-she did not even apologize for any inconvenience, she gave a look as if was being a nuisance
-asked for the manager, who was very rude not even offering a apology or a discount
-asked for a refund for the missing order, manager refused said it will only take 5 minutes
-did not have time to wait, as i have only 30 minutes for lunch
-got my refund, one of my co-workers stayed very hungry that day
-very poor customer service for a first very
-will never set foot in there again

The concept and interior is a take-off of Congee Wong (Finch and Leslie) but unfortunately the food is not of the same standard. I was very disappointed with their congee...very thick with few ingrediences. If I had to chose between eating in MacDonald or Congee Time, then I would chose Congee Time.,

Still prefer CW, i always go to the one at Bathurst/N of Steele. not as busy as the one on Finch

Not quite as good as Congee Wong, but if you want to avoid the line-ups this is the place (for now). Plus, the location is good for downtowners to get off the subway and walk.

I found their menu is the same as Congee Wong. Not bad, and no huge lineups like CW.
